Fathers Day Vintage & Classic Vehicle Rally, Harewood House, Leeds - 15 June 2008

Report by Dan

Our first official attendance at a classic car show and we certainly did well! As well as our extremely varied Japanese selection, the Malaysian and Korean subdivisions were covered via Proton Saloon and Hyundai Pony - both important models for their respective makers and in the case of the Pony, on the brink of total extinction! The Japanese side featured a great snapshot of Japanese motoring in the UK through the ages. Birthday celebrations were in order for a 1968 Datsun 1000 brought over by Mash - the first Sunny to be imported to the UK and just about ready to celebrate its 40th. Many thanks are also required to him for arranging the banner, stand and an incredibly tall flag! Cheers to everyone for attending and hope to see you at shows in the future.
